Another Day, Another Door.

Dearest friends,

I think i forgot to hit send last week on the email. I've included it below. As for this week, there were a couple ups, a couple downs, and a lot more faith in Christ.
Some things we did get to do were help move a lot of handlines, which are big pipe segments used to water large sections of field. That was epic!
We got to talk to a dear friend Eddie, too. He texted us after church asking us over for a lesson, and then later we had it and told him what we talked about in church. He finished that with bearing his testmony of what he knows is true. He is awesome. I included a picture of a car below that he bought.

I learned this week that repentance is a process. It is something you are always trying to do, always trying to improve. And you can. Your're never stuck. And if you ever feel alone in your efforts, Christ knows exactly how you feel, and though you might not see it, he's standing right next to you helping you lift the weight you're carrying.

Hey!

This week was splendid. We taught a couple powerful lessons, met with some awesome members, and had a tour around the temple grounds with our wonderful friend Pam.

Theres a tough mindset here that says that missionary work equals knocking on doors.  In reality, that is only slightly true. This becomes aparent when we are nearing the point where we've been to a majority of the houses here. So that's had me working my brain to think more abstract about the work in this area. I didn't reach any solutions, but I do have a couple ideas my brain is processing. I've been thinking a little about how everybody is socially interconnected, like a web. As missionaries, these connections are fewer in a new area, but the members already have a lot of connections. So, my companions and I are going to come up with a list of names and take it to the members. Anyway, that's what we're working on; trying to knock on doors less, work with members more, and have faith that God is working many miracles.

In my studies, I've just read Ether 12, and I love what it says about faith. For me, to have Faith in Jesus Christ means move forward not knowing for certain that he's really there. But once you get going, he shows that he's been right alongside you the whole time.

12  For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.

You rock!

I slacked on pictures this week, but here is a drawer before my companion fixed it.
Pictures include a memorial day community party that included a hot air balloon, exchanges with Elder Barson, and Eddie's car!
