Basin City!! Mud!!
Hello! Hola! Hallo!
This week moved me to Basin City! It's awesome here! On the map, it looks tiny. In person, it is tiny. The area we cover is huge, and it's all farmland. Everybody in the ward here is related to each other in some way or another, too. There's a lot of spanish, and people are very kind here! It's so very beautiful too; The rolling hills, sunrises, and sunsets complete it. Everything testifies that there is a god!
My companions are Elder Day (Día) and Jacobs. They're a ton fun to be with, and both are very good missionaries.
We've had a lot of really good lessons with our friends Elitzel, Martin, ambrosio, and others. It's been awesome to have some of the conversations we have in lessons. We've really been able to invite the spirit into these lessons.
Wrong door:
Last night we knocked on the wrong door, looking for our friend Cristian, and Ana answered. We asked her about her faith, which is quite strong. She then had a bunch of good questions for us, and we ended up teaching about almost the entire restoration of Jesus Christ's Church on the earth. I'm convinced that God's work cannot be halted.
Mud:
One night, headed to a contact, Google maps led us to a field. It was dark, so we figured there was probably a road there. So we drove a little bit along this muddy field before realizing there was no road. We stopped and walked the rest of the way to the house, feet squishing in every step. The person answered and seemed very startled that 3 men were knocking their door in the dark in the middle of nowhere. We left him with a pamphlet, then trekked back through the mud to our car. Driving out, we realized that it was super muddy, and the car was having a real bad time getting through it. So Elder Jacobs and I got out, and we were luckily able to push it out and get it back on the road.
Love you all! And thank you for every email, I love every single one I get!
