Small And Simple Things.

Happy fourteenth of January!

So, United Airlines will now be using Starlink in their flights!
Wait. I mean,

This week I've seen so many blessings. (1)After this new transfer, I got a new companion, Elder Hill! He is quite awesome. (2)With our friends, Berta and Gerardo we were able to teach some of the most spirit filled lessons I've experienced. (3)And, I had no idea how this transfer was going to be, being the only person who knows the area and the people here, so I prayed and prayed, and prayed, and it helped.

I was able to send out a bunch of texts through the week, which I've never done before, managing many conversations at once with our friends. God is there.

Sunday was full of miracles, and we had some amazing speakers at sacrament meeting, and Adam came to church! And Berta!

Something I have always had issues with is not wanting to inconvenience people. But here, I've had to step way out of my comfort zone, and approach people even when they look busy, or invite them to do things that take effort on their part. So inviting people to church, and then finding someone to drive them has been a push for me. I've found lots of comfort though, to know that when I work, and work, God will be there to support me. 

This is his work, and I trust that all the effort I put in he will use. I can't control whether people say yes, but I can control whether I'm there ready to be God's hands.

Also, WALLA WALLA HAS A GORGEOUS DOWNTOWN. HOLY MOLY. Up until now, I did not see an appeal to living here, but this week we went downtown, and it's just so pretty! And pedestrian friendly!!! I love pedestrian friendliness! And because it's pedestrian friendly, we were able to talk to a couple people walking about, and hand a Book of Mormon to John. That's my spiel.

Transferring
I could cry, it's so pretty. 
Wild night at Sam's! We stopped here for a quick snack and Gas, and one of ghe tables just had a mannequin sitting at it. The shop owner told us to sit next to the mannequin and he asked, "what does he teach you?" Then, "to be quiet. Like him, he's not talking. That's the lesson"
We thought he was going to tell us to stop preaching. He kept talking though, and I realized he was just trying to emphasize Taking Time To Be Still. I made sure to agree and make confirming statements like, "yeah, we've got to make sure God has some time to speak" and he agreed. Sam is a cool guy, I recommend his gas station.
The PB&J&B&H(PB, Jelly, Banana, Honey), with a side of banana and Peanut butter and raisins! It's healthy because of the fruits and nuts!

Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.

Hey all! Spring is in full swing! What a wonderful time of year. My companions can testify that I say "wow. Look how pretty those flowers are!" quite often. We are in good hands, and what wonderful creations our heavenly father has made! Dios Magnifica Nuestro Esfuerzo

¡Hola a todos! I'm really enjoying my time here at the CCM. I've already seen the ways in which God supports his missionaries. It's hard to spend time here without your love for Jesus Christ increasing.  Since the Last time I emailed, I became district leader! My comps became zone leaders over Rama 9, and that left the position to be filled. My district makes my job easy though, because they all rock.  I've notice that I've really been missing being able to listen to music. I've lost count of the amount of times I've wanted to play "I've got a dream" or "Quien serà" by Pedro Infante. Just those two songs in particular though. I think I'll ask my teacher to play the latter in class... Otherwise, since we can only listen to hymns, you find out pretty quickly what everyone's favorite hymns. And listening to the tabernacle choir when Elder Temple turns it on gives me nostalgia and the strange urge to build large structures out of ...

Sick Conference!

Hola! The last week has been great! I'm getting further and further prepared to head to Washington! I'm heading out next Wednesday, the 16th First, on Friday morning, we had the opportunity to sing to the incoming missionaries the song that our district had been preparing. It was an arrangment of the FSY medley. We were surprised to have gotten the opportunity to play, because our audition hadn't been our best run through. Then the morning of, everyone was a little sick, but we said a prayer before, and the spirit was there in that performance. The new missionaries said they quite enjoyed it. The big one: CONFERENCE! Woot! This conference was amazing. I was able to stay awake the whole time with help from my comps, and I took a whole lot of notes. I really enjoyed Elder Budge's talk about being still. It was a great reminder to me that just as it's important to talk to God when we pray, it's just as important to take time and listen. I pictured a Zen room, simil...
